Is Blake Griffin Black or White? Race or Ethnicity of Blake Griffin

Blake with his parents Tommy and Gail Griffin

Is Blake Griffin Black or White? A lot of people are confuse and ask what is the race or ethnicity of Blake Griffin. Well here is the answer.

The American NBA basketball player was born to an African American father and a Caucasian mother. He is part haitian african american and caucasian.

Blake is mix race and got the best from both races and that's why he is godlike in basketball. He is just like Jason Kidd, Shane Battier, Stephen Curry, and others who are all mixed race descendants. I don't know but Blake with a straight face reminds me of Tim Duncan.

  1. Are you sure Stephen Curry is part white? His parents both look like light skinned African-Americans to me.

    3. Blake griffin is black.and I don't understand why it is being avoided .first they once said that even if your third generation was black no matter how bright you are you are still black. Now that the blacks are successful they want to deny that this man is black.hahahaha

    4. No. They just don't want to pretend he doesn't have a mother. Why white folks deny their own is the more interesting question.

    5. Look, Blake is simply mixed. Just like Obama he was born from a black father and a white mother. In a few years most people will be mixed, just like it happened to Puerto Rico where most people where white, when the Dominicans and African Americans moved there, there was a lot of mixing, well that is exactly what is happening in the mainland.

    6. You need to learn your racial group before you post here.

    7. What!!! She said mostrar People on PR where White and get mixed When Dominicans came to PR, what a Moron!! She forget about the loiza People and río Grande and many of others as some body said better '' knows your People before you post''

    2. Umm...No. That just means the oldest human remains have been found there. It is possible there are older remains undiscovered elsewhere. And when you think questions or curiosity about race or ethnicity is crap...you are the one with the problem. If the questions were about any other race than black I'm sure you wouldn't have had a problem with it.

    3. Curry parents are both light skinned. @Upeople you found like you have the problem since you obviously county want to be a african descendent, but you are lol. You think they haven't looked elsewhere idiot? I'm sure if they said all people originated in europe you wouldn't have a problem with it!

    4. Um, no. Because we're not all Americans.

  3. Who cares? He got game - that's all that matters. Not ethnicity. I had the pleasure of meeting Blake in New Jersey, I tell you one thing that matters, that is besides his crazy skills, is his personality... very well-rounded, awesome guy... Blake you're #1

  4. Griffin looks like Tim Duncan? Hell no! Duncan looks like a clueless stooge. Anyways, Griffin's mom is pretty but the dad looks hideous; talk about disproportionate.

    1. if ur parents were from Haiti and you born in the US

    2. And Haiti is in Africa??? Someone is just trying not to say black like its a curse word or something.

    3. exactly, African American is a liberal oxymoron anyway. If you're born in America you are an American, if you are born in Africa you are African, all this African American nonsense is just that, nonsense, because some cowardly liberal years back decided it was somehow insulting to say someone is black or white. If someone is insulted by the color of their skin than they are in fact idiots.

    4. So what is someone who is white and born in Africa (which is a continent containing more than just black people) living in the US called? I have a neighbor who was born in South Africa (a country) and a friend born in Egypt, both living in the US and naturalized citizens, are they now African American?

    5. He is basically stating that titles such as "African American" should be used to signify where a person is from, not necessarily the color of a persons skin, and that actual colors should be used when describing the color of a person's skin.

    6. I'll leave it as simple as this if you're born in America you're American, wether you're black, white, yellow, red, it doesn't matter. They say African American, that's funny, I don't hear them calling me American American, Asian American, or Irish American, fact is if you're born in America black, white, red, blue, yellow You're just an American. You're born here not Africa, Asia, or India.

  6. Who cares!!!! BLAKE = BEASTMASTER!!! Why is it always about color! He is a HUMAN BEING....PERIOD!!! And a GREAT basketball player. He obviously has loving parents and a wonderful family. That is what it is all about!!!!

  7. Blake griffin is black end of story.let's be real.

  8. Ok well if that's the case then their are brown people and peach-colored people because black is not a color, it is in fact a shade. White is a color but it is very unrealistic for a human being no matter what the pigment of their skin is to be considered white. And I am an American not an African American. Though I am of African descent I was born in America. And I'm brown, not black.

  10. My friend the great reggae singer from the original Wailers , which you may know as Bob Marley and the Wailer it best into lyrics. Here are some of the those lyrics: don't care where you come from as long as you are a Black Man you are an African. Don't mind your nationality you have the identity of an African. If your complexion high, high or your complexion low, low your are an African. If you come from Canada , if you come from America or you come Trinidad you are an African , so don't care where you come if you are a Black man you have the identity of an African.

  11. Allow me to cklarify: Only five groups are considered natural born Americans. The Hawaiians, The Esquimos, The Puerto Ricans, Guamis and Native Americans are people who are born in their own land and that land belongs to the United States therefore they are not only Americans but are the only groups that are not inmigrants. Black Americans were brought here agaisnt their will so they too are not considered inmigrants althought technically they are. In Hawaii there are many mixes just like here, but in PR the mix of races has been happening for decades before the mainland and that mix is exactly the same as in the continental USA. The majority are white but have mixed with black, latino and oriental. So PR is kind of what US wil be in a few decades racially and just like Blake, they couldn't care less about race.

  12. My friend I can tell you have no knowledge on what you are talking about I would not waste time and ask you since when Latino is considered a race?

  13. Interesting in the description that white people are referred to as "Caucasian" while black people are not Negro but "Afro American". Talk about racism!!!
