The Rookie beat the Sophomores with a come from behind victory 148 to 140. Blake Griffin didn't get much playing time (13 minutes and 47 seconds), he scored 14 points. Number one draft pick John Wall won the mvp honor not by scoring points but by dishing out 22 record breaking assists. His 22 assists is the most for rookie vs sophomore games. One of his assists was a bounce pass ally-opp to Griffin for the sick dunk. It was the best play of the game that rocked the LA crowd. Even fellow slam dunk extraordinaire Amare Stoudemire couldn't help but kneel and bow down praising Griffin after the dunk. Check the spectacular dunk on the Griffin's video section page. Blake had 7 dunks in the game.
"Whenever you see (No.) 32 in a Clippers uniform out of the side, you basically throw it anywhere in the gym," Wall said. "I knew if I bounced it high enough, he will just attack the play." Wall said.
DeMarcus Cousins led the rookies with 35 points but didn't win the mvp award.
Blake will still play in the All-Star Game.
